Testimonials

“Louise was such a kind, beautiful person inside and out. She really made me feel so comfortable and helped me so much with sorting out my Grandad’s funeral.

She would ring me and text me to check up on me too see how I was doing and was always 100% there when I needed to talk.

I would always highly recommend Louise and I thank her for everything she has done towards my Grandad’s funeral.”

 – Paige (March 2025)

“Louise was the perfect choice for my Dad’s funeral, she took her time to get to know the family and my father’s life journey and captured him perfectly, everyone said it was a beautiful service.

Louise was kind and considerate and made herself available at any time. I would thoughtfully recommend her service.”

– Tina (April 2025)

“Louise did a wonderful job in conducting my dad’s funeral. She is warm, friendly and all round just a genuinely nice person – the perfect choice at a difficult time like this.

She managed the trick of maintaining regular contact before the funeral while giving me time and space to think about what I wanted.

On the day she spent time with me and my family, helping us through the day. Everyone said what a lovely service it was. Thank you Louise.”

– Martin (April 2025)

“Louise was truly exceptional. From the moment we first spoke, she held our hand through every step of the process with warmth, compassion, and grace. She created a beautiful celebration of life for my mother. One that honoured her story with depth and sensitivity.

What stood out most was Louise’s ability to balance comfort and professionalism. She was reassuring and empathetic during such a difficult time, yet also calm, organised, and clearly experienced. Every word she spoke felt carefully chosen and deeply respectful, making the ceremony both meaningful and uplifting.

We couldn’t have asked for a better person to guide us through this moment. Louise brought genuine humanity to her role, and we’re so grateful for the care and presence she offered our family. Thank you Louise.”

– Louis (June 2025)

“Such a traumatic time in my life rushing back from Australia to the UK to be with my mother in her final hours, thankfully with the assistance of Quantas I made it back with a day to spare to say my final farewell to my beloved mother.

From the very first moment that I met Louise I felt at ease and assured that she would preside over my mother’s funeral with dignity and ensure that the ceremony would be a celebration of her life filled with loving memories and acknowledgement of a life well lived.

Thank you so much Louise.”

– Paul (July 2025)

Louise was a wonderful support from the moment my brother and I first met her through to the day of the funeral and beyond.

Her great skill at capturing our memories of Mum’s life and rambling family history into such an accurate and beautiful eulogy is amazing. Her attention to detail, empathy and thoughtfulness helped a great deal to see beyond the sadness of the occasion and make it a celebration of her life.

We were very impressed with her presentation skills and guests on the day remarked on Louise’s warmth and friendly manner.

It was like having a great friend at our side guiding us through this difficult and emotional time.

We felt privileged to have Louise as our celebrant and we would highly recommend her.

– Jill (September 2025)

“From the very first meeting with Louise I knew we were in safe hands and she made a very sad and difficult time the best it could be.

Louise was in constant communication with us and especially my elderly mum, taking the trouble to drop round hard copies of the script and ringing checking in with her which my mum really appreciated.

On the day of the funeral, Louise delivered the script beautifully and everyone commented how lovely it was. After the funeral, Louise continued to go over and above by posting the script to a family member who could not fully access the service due to hearing issues and this was gratefully received. Also calling and checking in with my mum.

Thank you Louise you have been amazing. With kind regards.”

– Glenda (September 2025)

“Thank you for the way you delivered the service for dad, everyone has commented to us on how lovely it was and how sensitively and heartfeltly it was conducted, It has been a hot topic of conversation since.

I know there was much more work involved than just the service on the day and the way you consulted and involved us during the whole process made us feel that we really had personal involvement in the whole process which we all found really comforting.

I, along with rest of the family are very grateful for what you did to enable to give dad the best send-off we could, the whole thing was perfect.”

– John (October 2025)

“Just to say what a beautiful job you did at Mum’s funeral earlier this month. We really felt we were in safe hands, even though it was very emotional, for all of us.

We were very happy with the way everything went on the day and people attending all said what a lovely ceremony it was and so very fitting and appropriate for mum.

We are sincerely grateful for the part you played in that Louise and for your sensitive and compassionate approach throughout the process.

We would not hesitate to recommend you, or to use you in the future.”

– Jenny (October 2025)

Louise helped us through a very difficult time, she was kind and patient with us spending several hours letting us tell her about Mum and then writing a beautful tribute to her.

She went out of her way to visit the chapel we were using to familiarise herself with it. Louise also sent copies of the service to people who could not make it – both lovely personal touches which we all really appreciated.

– Yvonne (November 2025)

From the moment we asked Louise to lead the ceremony to say goodbye to our lovely mum, she took some of the stress away. At a time when everybody is asking you to make decisions, she gave us time, and gently guided us, liaised with people on our behalf and supported us in a calm and empathetic way.

Louise took the time to get to know what mum was like and let us tell our stories about her, which she then captured perfectly on the day. Her empathy and kindness will never be forgotten and mum would have been thankful for the way she helped us get through the day.

We are all grateful to Louise for delivering a lovely and heart felt service for us. She went the extra mile afterwards by sending beautiful memorial copies to all of us, and to mum’s oldest friends who were too elderly to make the journey, they were genuinely touched by this gesture.

We would recommend Louise to anybody – she made an extremely difficult and emotional time that little bit better by being there for us every step of the way.  Louise is that rare type of person who just makes things seem that little bit less daunting which is exactly what we needed.

– Margaret (November 2025)

“From the first time my daughter and I met Louise we knew we were in safe hands.

We took our time at our first meeting and on the day she met me at the crematorium and I felt so safe.

The eulogy for my son, who had a troubled life, was so moving and heartfelt all who attended spoke about the wonderful service

After that day Louise has kept in touch and I can honestly say that she most certainly eased my pain for what was such a difficult and traumatic for me and my other children.

Thank you so much Louise.”

– Sharon (December 2025)

“From my first meeting with Louise I knew I was in safe hands, she is so easy to talk to. Our meeting started with me airing, what I felt was batty ideas of a Christmas themed funeral. I got as far as Christmas carols instead of hymns – but Louise’s jumped onboard with suggestions of Christmas jumpers and sparkles “why not” I heard her say ……… the seed was set and why not I said too. Everyone had Christmas jumpers on including the Funeral Directors.

Louise was a constant source of support, she was diligent in ensuring she had, facts, names and stories accurately, ensuring she understood what it meant to my sister.

My sister had Learning Disabilities and Christmas was everything to her. She lived in Supportive Accommodation with other residents with LD and they loved their parties – and made plenty excuses to have a party.

Louise helped me to create the service which allowed family, Carers and fellow residents to spend one more Christmas with her and say goodbye in a less formal way that everyone understood. The service was geared to hearing about her full life and not about her disabilities and Louise was wonderful in getting that across.

Thank you Louise for your guidance, encouragement and holding my hand which resulted in a wonderfully perfect celebration of my sister, her life and achievements.

– Lynn (December 2025)

We asked Coop Funeralcare if they could recommend a celebrant and Louise’s name was put forward.

We had an initial phone call and then Louise came to visit. She explained what she does and hopes to achieve for us and took us through all the necessary questions in order to create a picture of who Dad was.

The script was produced and we could edit as we saw fit. A further visit to discuss the outline and even a phone call on the morning of the funeral to check how we were all doing.

The actual service was just how we wanted. She was professional, caring and it felt like she truly knew who dad was even though they’d never met.

We would highly recommend her to anyone requiring a celebrant.

– Sam (December 2025)

“Louise Day provided an excellent service as the Celebrant for my mum’s funeral and arrangements.

It was a very difficult time for me as my mum had been very sadly ill with Vascular Dementia and whilst this is an awful disease for anybody to have, it was still very upsetting when mum sadly died after a short stay in hospital.

Mum was Church of England but with a relatively small ‘c’. I had never organised a funeral before but I knew both mum and myself would want a service that wasn’t too ‘heavy’ or ‘in your face’, but welcoming, reasonably traditional and not cold or austere (we have been to services like that and we didn’t find them very pleasant).

Louise was fantastic from start to finish. She has a lovely manner and a very warm presence. She was extremely helpful with ideas for the service including songs, a poem and the Eulogy (something I’d never thought I would be able to do but to my surprise I was).

Louise was able to read my handwritten Eulogy (my writing can be notoriously small!) and convert it into extremely clear and professionally presented print, which was such an amazing help.

Louise was so lovely and helpful throughout the whole preparation and the service itself. It made reading mum’s Eulogy a pleasure rather than something that filled me with dread. Whilst a funeral is not something anybody really wants to plan (or maybe even think about) it is a fact of life and the natural progression of things.

I can thoroughly recommend Louise Day as a Celebrant, she made such a difference to me through a very difficult time.”

– Chris (December 2025)

We cannot thank you enough for your kindness, patience, attention to detail, and, of course, your professionalism in overseeing our mum’s funeral.

We felt it was the perfect tribute to our lovely mum, and we are incredibly grateful to you.

We appreciate having the ceremony script and your card and kind words.

Anyone who chooses you as their celebrant will not be disappointed.

– Michelle, Yvonne & Heather (January 2026)

I would just like to say thank you from the bottom of mine and my Mum’s heart.

You were professional, courteous, approachable, personable and a million other complimentary adjectives I could use but more than that, you went above and beyond what we could have hoped for.

The tribute packs you prepared and the card was a lovely touch.

You are a lovely lady with a very warm heart and you made a difficult day so much easier.

– Debby & Barbara (January 2026)

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Louise for the beautiful and dignified service she conducted for my father’s funeral. From the very beginning, Louise showed incredible compassion and understanding, taking the time to learn about my father’s life and the values that mattered most to him.

The ceremony was warm, personal, and truly reflected who my father was. Louise spoke with sincerity and grace, creating an atmosphere that was both comforting and uplifting during such a difficult time. Her attention to detail and ability to weave together stories and memories made the service feel deeply meaningful for everyone present.

Family and friends commented on how special the service was, and that is entirely thanks to Louise’s professionalism and heartfelt approach.

I would highly recommend Louise to anyone looking for a celebrant who brings empathy, respect, and genuine care to every aspect of the occasion.”

– Sarah (January 2026)

From the moment we first met Louise we knew Mum’s service was in the best hands.

Louise was so kind, considerate and comforting. She was there for us and with us every step of the way at the very emotional and difficult time. The way Louise told Mum’s story was a true celebration of her life. Everyone commented afterwards on how beautiful the service was.

The lovely decorated commemorative script and card presented to myself, my brother and Mum’s four granddaughters was a really lovely touch,

Thank you so much Louise for being there and gently guiding us through this difficult time.

Would highly recommend Louise to anyone who wants that special, personal and professional send-off for their loved ones.”
